Alpha Blondy, real name Seydou Koné, is an Ivorian singer-songwriter and reggae musician 2. Born on January 1, 1953 in Dimbokro, Côte d'Ivoire, Alpha Blondy is considered one of Africa's most emblematic and influential artists. He sings in French, Dioula and Baoulé (the vehicular languages of West Africa) as well as in English. He is an artist who performs all over the world. He was appointed United Nations Ambassador for Peace in Côte d'Ivoire in 2005. "Rasta Poué" is the reissue of his first album, originally entitled "Jah Glory" and released in 1982. A major album on the African reggae scene.
