The second installment of the relaxing compilation series with the theme of 'the marriage of scent and music', 'Incense Music for Living Room', is now available on LP.The first installment of the new compilation series 'Incense Music', selected and supervised by Toru Hashimoto, artwork by Jiro Fujita, and mastered by Calm, a top Japanese artist of jazz, chillout, and Balearic music who is highly acclaimed overseas, 'Incense Music for Bed Room', was released in March 2024 (also the restart of Suburbia Records), and is now available on CD, digital, LP, and two 7-inch singles!The second installment of the series, 'Incense Music for Living Room', will be released on CD on June 26, 2024. The selection of songs for a relaxing living space by Toru Hashimoto, based on the theme of 'marriage of aroma and music', blends ambient, jazz, chill out, balearica, post classical, jazzy and mellow beats, with new recordings by artists trusted by Toru Hashimoto (Calm's cover of Holger Czukay's 'Persian Love', Takeda Yoshiharu's cover of Bobby Hutcherson's 'Montara', and a new track arranged by haruka nakamura of a re-performance of pianist Noriko Kose's masterpiece 'I Miss You'). The beautiful jacket drawn by Jiro Fujita and the wonderful mastering by Calm, which focuses on the sound image, make this a superb compilation like 'sound aromatherapy'. We will deliver 10 tracks carefully selected by Toru Hashimoto from the CD (18 tracks) on a vinyl LP with attractive artwork!The sequel to this 'Incense Music' series, 'Incense Music for Dining Room', is scheduled to be released in September.
