Mina (15) lives in a village in Pakistan where women are considered property; and the elders set the law. When Mina's brother commits a murder, she is forced into marriage within the family of the deceased as a repayment of debt. For the next 30 years her husband locks her in a small room where she is abused and starved. Her only peace comes from looking out of a small window where she falls in love with nature as her soul escapes to her memories and colorful imagination.
